Help support the Society & our Library collection
The Society for the Promotion of Hellenic Studies is an unincorporated charity (Charity reg. No. 245623) which aims to help those engaged in Hellenic Studies at all levels, and to this end it makes grants of various kinds to schools, universities and other institutions, undergraduates, graduate students and young researchers.
The Society also maintains the Hellenic and Roman Library with the Roman Society and shares its related costs. In a process that goes back over a century, the Hellenic and Roman Societies have created one of a handful of great Classics libraries in the world. We ask you now to consider a contribution towards its development over the next century and more. Its riches are immediately available on open access; about 20% of its accessions are in no other UK library; and it is one of the few libraries in the UK that every year welcomes a trainee beginning a career as a Classics librarian. Please help us to maintain and develop such a wonderful resource in a period of growing public austerity.
